Synopsis
Good intentions collide with absurd assumptions in Larissa FastHorse’s wickedly funny satire THE THANKSGIVING PLAY, as a troupe of terminally woke teaching artists scrambles to create a pageant that somehow manages to celebrate both Turkey Day and Native American Heritage Month.
THE THANKSGIVING PLAY premiered off-Broadway at Playwrights Horizons in New York City on October 12, 2018.
About the Artist
Windigo Army is a loosely organized Indigenous street art/Activist collective started by a small group of friends from Mnjikaning Rama First Nation. They regularly travel to different cities and reservations to assist with native rights and Land Back events/movements. Windigo Army uses their art to connect with our cultural heritage and spread awareness of issues facing Indigenous people of Turtle Island, both current and historic.
