Mariposa Arts Theatre is pleased to present this play by American author , that is based on his family's experience of the death of his sister, Susan Harling-Robinson, from diabetic complications. Originally written as a short story it became a play first performed Off-Broadway and then adapted for the movie Steel Magnolias in 1989. In writing this play, , felt it was important to show the way the characters use humour and lighthearted conversations in dealing with the seriousness of the underlying situations.
